For LGBTQ Youth:
Pride For Youth is a division of the Long Island Crisis Center located in Bellmore, NY. They offer a variety of services and support including health screenings, education, groups, and more (specific age restrictions and details can be found on their website or by calling 516-679-9000). The Middle Earth Hotline 516-679-1111 is available 24/7.
The Trevor Project offers crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ youth, along with a multitude of resources on their website.

Helping Survivors is a national advocacy center that provides free resources for all survivors of sexual assault/abuse. There are many situations today that are prone to these things happening, an example being in a rideshare. Helping Survivors is dedicated to providing as much information as possible around these issues and making everyone safer.
Domestic Violence
Anyone can be a victim of domestic violence no matter their gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation. Even relationships that once started out as loving and fulfilling can become controlling and abusive.
The Safe Center is a domestic violence resource located here on Long Island, NY in Bethpage, Nassau County. They offer a variety of services from housing, legal advocacy, crisis intervention, emergency counseling, and more in order to ensure the safety of those they are working with. If you feel trapped, scared, alone, or think you may be experiencing dating violence, The Safe Center can help. Trained and specialized counselors offer safety planning in order to help you get out safely. The Safe Center’s Domestic Violence services are all free and confidential.

Suicide
If you or someone you know is having thoughts about suicide, there is always help and support out there. You are never alone.
1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-273-8255) is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline available 24/7 for free and confidential support to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. If you need someone to talk to, they will listen. They also have resources to help yourself, and tools to help someone else.
The Long Island Crisis Center offers free crisis counseling to individuals who are feeling suicidal or in crisis by chat from 11:00am-11:00pm 7 days a week or on their 24/7 Hotline: 516-679-1111. If you are calling because you are concerned about someone else, LICC offers Suicide Outreach where a trained crisis counselor will anonymously reach out to your friend or family member to let them know someone in their life cares about them and is concerned, and to help them find the next steps for getting help.
If you text Crisis Text Line at 741741 from anywhere in the US, a trained crisis counselor will talk to you. Many individuals, especially children and adolescents, are not comfortable with talking so this is a great free and confidential service.
The Samaritans is an NYC based organization dedicated to suicide prevention that offers a 24/7 Hotline: 212-673-3000 and online resources for those who are having suicidal thoughts, know someone who is thinking about suicide, and those who have lost someone to suicide.
