Stressed From Being Stuck Inside for so Long?

Meditation could be your key to relaxation!

Here are some helpful tips to finding your zen:

  • Find a comfortable spot to sit-couch, chair, floor, etc. but not too comfortable, you don’t want to fall asleep!

  • Maintain good posture i.e. don’t slouch.  Again, you’ll fall asleep if you get too comfortable.

  • Don’t cross any parts of your body-if your legs fall asleep it’ll disrupt your relaxation

  • Decide which avenue of meditation works best for you: perhaps you’ll want to use mental imagery and focus on a relaxing image/scenario in your mind.  Maybe choose a mantra such as “be present” and repeat it to yourself, or even just play some ambient noise or music that calms you (ocean waves are nice!)

  • Close your eyes and focus on breathing slowly and deeply in from your nose and out through your mouth as you attempt to clear your mind and focus on being in the moment with peace and relaxation.

  • If you’re new to meditation, start slow with 10-15 minute sessions at the start and/or end of your day, moving on to longer sessions as you get more comfortable

Practice meditating daily or in the very least on days you are stressed and feel your worries melt away!
